About the project Edit

Documentary resources in the training of teachers in the Congolese educational system.

This project is a reflection on access to information and to scientific and educational documentation made available to teachers for quality education.

In what ways is this project unique and creative? Edit

Access to documentation must play an important role in the training of teachers and in the educational development of learners.

Despite the high level of school attendance rates (80%), the Congolese educational system still does not provide its teachers and learners structures adapted to their needs. This project triggers a reflection on the availability of documentary resources and educational materials to allow master trainers to ensure quality training of students.

What is the social value of this project? Edit

The social value of this project is to put a platform (in the form of a document portal) into place that will make documentary resources available online. The structure of the documents will be adapted to teachers’ needs. Documents will be filed by theme and type of work adapted to teachers’ expectations. Indexed resources will be free.

The challenge of this shared educational support platform is to encourage the dissemination of information and valorization of educational materials.

What is the potential of this project to expand and develop? Edit

Getting to understand the problems and challenges that are related to the training engineering of Congolese teachers. Access to educational documentation has major challenges in the lack of sufficient structures to mentor and support teachers in their work.

What was the triggering factor of this project? Edit

My experience as a Reference Librarian in the field of training and teaching at Cepec International.

In collaboration with some African countries, I have been able to grasp the needs of access to educational documentation in basic teaching.

What is the business model of this project? Edit
