Afriworkers is the first teleworking employment development platform – coworking. It provides services to businesses, the unemployed, graduates and anyone ready to use their skills remotely:
- directory African teleworkers
- calculations for teams of teleworkers
- coaching and training
- dissemination of a teleworking guide that can be used as a job development tool
- dissemination of an online training video on teleworking
- teleworking job opportunities through SMS alerts in 13 African countries
Launched in 2011, today it’s the largest African teleworking network bringing together 9 nationalities and 10 professions in all of Africa
Breaking from the unity between jobs and workplace, this project gives a new perspective on employment in Africa.
By allowing self-employment and teleworking, the platform promotes reducing unemployment, poverty and the digital divide.
The project has the ability to develop the skills sharing in Africa and can promote the development of coworking places for teleworkers.
Young graduates make up a large part of unemployment in Africa which is due to insufficient childcare and offices. In the Ivory Cost, there are more than 4 million unemployed graduates or 4 million unused skills.
