About the project Edit

Based on the principle of FabLabs, the goal of FormaLab is to create a training method for young adults alienated from work. In order to train young adults so that they can acquire key skills, motivating methods must be developed in association with the program beneficiaries. The goal is to create a real, comprehensive, non-segmented approach.

FormaLab operates through workshops and presentations that can be connected to more traditional courses. It will provide the opportunity to work on personal and collective projects and to collaborate with other groups in an environment open to the local, national, and international collaboration.

In what ways is this project unique and creative? Edit

The FormaLab concept is clearly directed toward professional training in the goal of developing pedagogical outlines that can be reused by other FabLabs. These outlines will be made available as we test them. Since the philosophy of FabLabs is to create an environment conducive to learning, the FormaLab will always encourage its users to organize, exchange, share, with the goal of acting and communicating.

What is the social value of this project? Edit

Our goal is to test the FabLab concept in a framework of professional training, and more specifically, of persons alienated from work. We hope that this innovative concept for adult training will represent a true added value for its users and can enrich training processes that have already been well established. This experiment, designed to be reproducible, could be useful for other FabLabs and collaborative spaces that hope to include training outlines in their sphere of action.
